1977 LED ZEPPELIN Rare Original Concert Ticket Stub (Tampa, Florida-Tampa Stadium) Here is an awesome looking and very rare original ticket stub to the Led Zeppelin concert that took place at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, FL back on June 3, 1977. The Led Zeppelin LP, Presence, on Swan Song records and tapes was released less than 15 months earlier. Due to its unique design, this is one of the most sought-after Led Zeppelin ticket stubs amongst fans and collectors. Following 2 years of not touring due to Robert Plant's 1975 car accident, the band finally hit the road on a massive 1977 North American tour. Concerts all over the U.S. sold out immediately as demand for tickets were enormous. The band was set to play in front of 76,000 people at this Tampa Stadium concert. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. A massive rain storm fell from the Florida sky while the band played. After the 3rd number (Nobody's Fault But Mine), the band decided to take an intermission due to rain falling on the electrical equipment. The band waited approximtely 45 minutes before the concert was postponed. Fans rioted and the police arrived to contain the rowdy fans. This concert was never rescheduled. Sadly, this 1977 tour would be the band's last North American tour. Robert Plant's young son would pass away in late July which led to the cancellation of the final 2 weeks of the tour. The band would break up in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham. Ticket stub is almost a complete ticket as very little was torn upon entrance into concert.
